- Philippine Veterans Affairs Office
The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) (Filipino: "Tanggapan ng Suliranin ng mga Beterano") ("TSB") is an agency of the Philippine government under the Department of National Defense, responsible for administering veterans' benefits, implementing programs and projects to enhance their general welfare, and instituting measures to memorialize their patriotism and heroism.
Functions
*Veterans' benefits - adjudication and administration of benefits for military veterans and their dependents and heirs under Republic Act No. 6948, Republic Act No. 7696 and other Philippine laws.
*Hospitalization, medical care and treatment - operation and maintenance of the
Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) and administration of hospitalization of veterans and dependents in contracted hospitals.*Military memorials - administration and development of national shrines of military significance.
Military Shrines Service
The Military Shrines Service (MSS) is responsible for the administration, maintenance and development of national shrines of military and historic significance. The Military Shrines Service administers six national shrines namely:

#Capas National Shrine
#Mt. Samat Shrine
#Bantayog Sa Kiangan
#Libingan ng mga Bayani These shrines memorialize the heroic deeds and sacrifices of Filipino war veterans of military campaigns. The MSS was created under the Presidential Decree No. 1076 dated

Formerly known as the Veterans Memorial Hospital, the
Veterans Memorial Medical Center by virtue of the 80th U.S. Congress and through various amendments and programs introduced is tasked to provide the best quality of hospitalization, medical care and treatment to veterans and their dependents and to a limited number of civilian and Philhealth patients.The Center is mandated to implement its programs and projects namely; Hospitalization, Medical Care and Treatment to both the inpatients, outpatients and contract hospitalization at Tala Sanitarium, Fellowship and Residency, Training Program, Staff Development Program, Medical Research, Civic Action Program.
