- Selway River
The Selway River is located in
North Central Idaho in the northwesternUnited States within theSelway-Bitterroot Wilderness . It is a tributary of the Middle Fork of the Clearwater River in theClearwater National Forest . The Selway was one of the rivers included by theUnited States Congress in 1968 as part of theNational Wild and Scenic River s Act.The main stem of the Selway is more than 120 miles (193 km) in length from the headwaters in the Bitterroots to the confluence with the Lochsa near Lowell to form the Middle Fork of the Clearwater River.
