Jumpnode

Jumpnode is an IT systems and network monitoring platform which utilizes an appliance-enabled software (AeS) services architecture. It monitors hosts, networked devices such as switches, routers, and printers, and services that you specify, alerting you if problems arise.

Jumpnode was founded in 2004 by Irfan Khan and Rick Baker and is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Jumpnode system can monitor any device that supports SNMP, network services, and business metrics using custom SSH scripts. It is platform-independent, so it works in Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Unix, Linux, and mixed network environments.

Overview

* Network monitoring platform utilizing a network appliance in conjunction with a hosted Dashboard application available from any web browser
* Appliance is compact. contains no hard disk or fan, and includes an onboard temperature sensor, analog modem for emergency backup dial-up connectivity, and optional cellular modem
* All monitoring appliance data transmissions are encrypted and tunneled through HTTP
* Network hosts can be grouped for consolidated management, notification and reporting
* Adjust when/if alert notifications should be sent, how often and to whom, and to escalate notifications through different team members based on scheduling rules
* Export data to spreadsheet programs for analysis
* Notification if WAN link loses connectivity
* Monitor devices supporting SNMP versions 1 and 2c for network, disk, memory and cpu usage or create custom SNMP checks
* Monitor any webserver via HTTP or HTTPS, including pages that require HTTP authentication
* Monitor any mail server with POP, IMAP and SMTP checks, including SSL
* Supports custom SNMP, TCP, UDP or SSH based checks
