Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster
- Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster
The Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster, or the Hydra and Centaurus superclusters, is a supercluster in two parts and the closest neighbour of Milky Way's Virgo Supercluster.
The cluster includes four large galaxy clusters in the Centaurus part
*A3526 (Centaurus cluster),
*A3565,
*A3574,
*A3581and the proximate
*Hydra Cluster (A1060) and
*Norma cluster (A3627).Apart from the central clusters, which are 150 to 200 millions of light years away, several smaller clusters belong to the group.
