INS Mumbai (D62)

The INS "Mumbai" (D62) is the third of the "Delhi"-class destroyers of the Indian Navy.

"Mumbai" was built in her namesake city Mumbai, launched in 1995, and commissioned in 2001. It was designed in India and built at the Mazagon Dock Limited, Mumbai.

The ship is on active service as of 2008.

In July 2006, it was sent to Lebanon to assist in the evacuation of Indian nationals from Lebanon during the Israel-Lebanon conflict [cite news
