Larnaca ,Cyprus ) is an Australianactress , best known for her role asLeah Patterson-Baker in thesoap opera Home and Away . She has been as Australian resident since 1987.She made her TV debut in 1991, in an episode of "
Police Rescue ". Nicodemou first auditioned for "Home and Away" at the age of 16, losing the role to Laura Vasquez, however the audition led to some work as an extra on the show.In 1994, at the age of 17, Nicodemou was cast as the rebellious Katarina on "
Heartbreak High ". Although the role was initially to be a 12-week stint, she remained on the show for three years. While filming the show, she completed her high school studies by correspondence.After leaving "Heartbreak High", Nicodemou studied
Tourism atTAFE . She returned to television in 1998, playing Fiona Motson on the short-lived "Breakers". In 1999, she played DuJour (the White Rabbit Girl) in "The Matrix ".Nicodemou made several other television appearances before joining the cast of "Home and Away" in 2000 as a regular cast member. She has been nominated several times for the
Gold Logie as Australia's Most Popular Television Performer at theLogie Awards . In 2005, she and professional dancer Aric Yegudkin won the final of "Dancing with the Stars". Also in 2005, Nicodemou (along withKate Ritchie ) was bridesmaid inBec Cartwright 's wedding toLleyton Hewitt .On 17 February 2007 , Ada married her long time boyfriend, Chrys.
