Ben Denis Unwin (born August 15 1977, Sydney, Australia is an Australian actor. He is best known for portraying the character Jesse McGregor on the Australian soap "Home and Away" from 1996 to 2000 and 2002 to 2005.

Ben started his career at the age of 12, playing a lead in the Musical "Seven Little Australians" for a year run at the Footbridge Theatre. Off the back of this he signed to a management company and worked in film, television, commercials, and theatre while he completed his education. One month after receiving his Higher School Certificate, Ben had the role of bad boy Jesse written for him after auditioning for another role on the TV series "Home and Away".

At the 39th Annual TV Week Logie Awards held in 1997, Unwin was nominated for the Logie for Most Popular New Talent for his work on "Home and Away".

Ben has appeared in numerous Australian tv adverts most notable being his Coke advert riding a camel across the desert.

Ben is currently not in the public eye by choice.

It is rumoured Channel 7/7 Productions are indeed very keen to resign the actor in the next few years back to Home & Away when he is ready to return, his role of Jesse McGregor has played a large part of the ongoing activity around Summer Bay since 1996 & Channel 7 ( the national broadcaster part of AU media conglomorate Yahoo 7 ) looks forward to his return as do no doubt the many international fans of the talented actor.

Jesse McGregor had been sent to city jail to serve time for the murder of his love, in a car accident in 2005 just outside Summer Bay.
