Virginia .The
millpond is relatively shallow with an average depth of about Convert|4|ft|m|0|abbr=on. The upstream portion of the impoundment isswamp y and the shoreline is largelyforest ed. Scenic and decorated withlily pads , Gardy's Millpond is a quiet spot to fish forblack crappie ,bluegill andredear sunfish ,bream ,chain pickerel ,largemouth bass andyellow perch .A new
dam was built here soon afterHurricane Bob caused severe damage to the older structure in 1985. The place was subsequently stocked with fish and re-opened to public fishing in 1990.References
