"It's in the Bag" can refer to:

In the UK House of Commons there is a lobby with statues of past prime ministers. On entering the house proper, behind the Speakers chair is a large bag into which is placed requests for topics to be discussed in the House. It is from here that the sayingits in the bagoriginated.
