Ice hockey at the 1990 Asian Winter Games

Ice Hockey at the 1990 Asian Winter Games took place in the city of Sapporo, Japan. Just like in the inaugural edition of the Winter Asiad, only four nations competed in the sport: China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Game summary

Each team played just one match against each of the three other teams, unlike in the previous Winter Asiad where they were given two. A team gained two points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a loss. The team that gained the most points was awarded the gold medal.

China gained 5 points after winning against Japan and South Korea, and ending their match against North Korea in a draw. Japan won both of their matches against the two Koreas, garnering a total of 4 points. South Korea won their match against the North, giving them 2 points; the latter gained 1 point for their draw with China.
