Wang Kemin, Wang Ke-min, 王克敏, (1873 or
May 4 ,1879 -December 26 1945 ) President of theProvisional Government of the Republic of China a Japanesepuppet state based inBeijing , formed onDecember 14 1937 .In 1900 he had a diplomatic post in Japan, and after his return also is in office to Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After the
Republic of China had been established, andDuan Qirui was in power in 1917, Wang Kemin became President of theBank of China , three times minister of finance and held many important posts. After the success ofChiang Kai-Shek 's Northern Expedition a warrant for Wang's arrest was issued and he fled toDalian .In 1931, Wang Kemin ruturned with
Zhang Xueliang and took a post in the Peking Finance committee. In 1935 Wang was in the KuomintangHebei Government and had a post in the Northeast Government Affairs Committee, and the Peking Government Affairs Committee and other important posts.After the
Second Sino-Japanese War broke out in 1937, Wang Kemin took the post of President administrative chairman of theProvisional Government of the Republic of China , a Japanesepuppet state based inBeijing , formed onDecember 14 1937 .In March, 1940 the Republic of China Provisional Government merged with
Wang Jingwei 'sNanjing Nationalist Government . Wang Kemin took the post ofNorth China Political Council chairmen. Wang Kemin turned over power in name to Wang Jingwei but in fact retained it. Afterward Wang Kemin became Nanjing Nationalist Government internal affairs head, and a Central Political Commissioner.Arrested as a traitor after the end of the war, on
December 26 ,1945 Wang committed suicide.External links
