KRUZ signed on with the call letters KTMS-FM. In time, the station would go through format changes and call sign changes before becoming a
top 40 station branded as "Y97" with the KHTY call letters. In 1998, the station switched to asmooth jazz format. In March 2005, Cumulus decided to move thesmooth jazz format to 106.3KMGQ . Themodern adult contemporary format on KRUZ 103.3 was then moved to this station. As a result, the station changed its call letters to KRUZ.External links
