Si Narong ( _th. ศรีณรงค์) is a district ("Amphoe") of Surin Province, northeastern Thailand.

History

The minor district ("King Amphoe") was established on April 1 1995 with five "tambon" split from Sangkha district. Following a decision of the Thai government on May 15 2007, all of the 81 minor districts were to be upgraded to full districts. Geography

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Sangkha, Lamduan and Sikhoraphum of Surin Province, Prang Ku and Khukhan of Sisaket Province.

Administration

The district is subdivided into 5 subdistricts ("tambon"), which are further subdivided into 62 villages ("muban"). There are no municipal ("thesaban") areas, and further 5 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
