Orange County Underground Burlesque Society

The Orange County Underground Burlesque Society is an organization of burlesque performers based in Orange County, California, USA. The troupe performs a monthly show at the Hunger Artists Theatre Company. The Society was founded by Melanie Gable, who also performs as the emcee of the monthly show under the pseudonym of Kate Fox. It is the only known burlesque organization in Orange County, thus bringing an important piece of feminist history into the 21st century.

The Society's shows consist of various musical numbers, with the women singing, dancing and stripping to a variety of songs, all centered around a different theme each month. The show maintains the traditions of burlesque; the performers have distinct talents, names and personalities, and while they strip down to their underwear, they are never nude.

The show premiered at the Hunger Artists Theatre Company in Fullerton, California in December 2006.
