The Nupe language (Nufawa, Nupeci, Nupecidji, Nupenchi, Nupencizi) is spoken primarily by the Nupe people of the Middle Belt region of Nigeria; its geographical distribution is limited to the west-central portion of this region and maintains pre-eminence in Niger State.
