Steven D. Wolens

Steven D. Wolens is a former Texas state Representative. Described by "Texas Monthly" as the "House's most dreaded foe and most welcome ally," he was best known for ushering in Senate Bill 7, deregulating Texas energy markets and opening the door for the Enron scandal [1] . He is married to former Dallas, Texas mayor Laura Miller, and he was a partner at the prestigious Dallas law firms of Baron & Budd, and Diamond & McCarthy. Wolens moved to powerful Dallas firm McKool Smith in 2008.
