Description

This hotel was designed by Patri Merker Architects. It is located on the corner of Howard and 5th Streets. At night, the tower's southern facade is illuminated and visible from miles away. The curtain wall system consists of glass and metal panels. A restaurant is located at street level and a full service spa and health club with a swimming pool is located on the sixth floor. With the InterContinental open, the hotel operator will now apply for LEED Certification.

History

Since the hotel's opening in 2008, it has played host to US Attorney General Michael Mukasey and former NYC Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
