Gregory Simmonds (born December 6, 1975 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a retired soccer player having recently played for the Puerto Rico Islanders. Prior to joining the Islanders he was Director of Soccer for Richmond U-Turn Sports Performance Academy. He played as striker for American USL First Division side Virginia Beach Mariners. He previously played in Major League Soccer for the Miami Fusion. Simmonds also played for D.C. United in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Played for DC United in 1999 and the Hershey Wildcats for the 1999 and 2000 seasons. While playing for the Wildcats, scored 35 goals, had 16 assists and was named USL-1 Rookie of the Year in 1999 and Team MVP in 2000. Signed by the Miami Fusion in 2001 and 4 goals and had 2 assists in league and Open Cup matches.

He played with Rochester Rhinos in 2002 and led the team with 9 goals and 6 assists and was named USL First Division Player of the week twice. In 2003, played in 27 games with the Richmond Kickers.

Played with the USL First Division team, Charleston Battery for the 2004 and 2005 seasons and was the team’s leading scorer both years. In 2006 joined Virginia Beach Mariners and lead the team with 9 goals.
