Georgia Bulldogs football under Marvin D. Dickinson

Marvin D. Dickinson coached the Georgia Bulldogs for two seasons: 1903 and 1905. He had been a Georgia football player from 1900 to 1902. Over the course of his two seasons as head coach, he lead the Bulldogs to a combined 4-9-0 record.

The 1903 Georgia Bulldogs football team completed the season with a 3-4-0 record. Georgia lost to Clemson, but managed to beat rivals cfb link|year=1903|team=Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets|school=Georgia Institute of Technology|title=Georgia Tech and Auburn and Alabama. This was the Georgia Bulldogs' first season under the guidance of head coach M.M. Dickinson.

John Heisman last year as head coach of Clemson was 1903. During his four years at Clemson, Georgia was unable to muster a single win, was shut out twice and scored only 10 points. While Heisman was head coach of Auburn, Georgia had fared a little better, managing a win and a tie and recording a 1-2-1 record. Neverthess, during the eight meetings with Heisman-coached teams from 1895 to 1903, Georgia was 1-6-1.

The 1905 Georgia Bulldogs football team completed the season with a 1-5-0 record for the second straight year. The season included the second straight loss to John Heisman's cfb link|year=1905|team=Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets|school=Georgia Institute of Technology|title=Georgia Tech team (he became head coach there in 1904) and the sixth straight loss to Clemson. The only win came over non-conference opponent Dahlonega. This was the Georgia Bulldogs' final season under the guidance of head coach M.M. Dickinson.
