École secondaire l'Essor is a French-language high school located in Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada (formerly St. Clair Beach), established in 1979. It serves the Francophone (French speaking) population of
Essex County.

The name "l'Essor" was coined by Florence Limoges is a portmanteau combining Essex and Windsor. It belongs to Conseil scolaire de district des écoles catholiques de Sud-Ouest. "Essor" also refers to the French word "to take flight".

The small school, participates in a lot of local activities in the francophone community. It has a very high percentage of graduates, and high test marks. "L'aigle seul a le droit de fixer le soleil"The mascot is the eagle (translated):"only the eagle has the right to reach for great heights"

The school regularly makes headlines in the local newspapers. In 1994, a student dropped a vial of skunk oil in the school corridors, sending 55 to the hospital and causing C$34,000 in damage. A similar incident occurred in June 2003 when a student released a substance similar to pepper spray in the school. This incident, however, only affected 8 students and one staff who were treated by paramedics on site.
