Bald Eagle (1955-1977) was an American-bred Thoroughbred Champion racehorse who competed successfully both in the United Kingdom and the United States. The son of the champion sire Nasrullah, his grandsire was Nearco.

Racing at age two and three in England, Bald Eagle won several Conditions races before his owner brought him to the U.S. where he enjoyed even more success. In 1960, at age five, Bald Eagle set new track records in winning the Metropolitan and Widener Handicaps. That same year he became the first horse to ever win the Washington, D.C. International twice, having won the prestigious forerunner to the Breeders' Cup Turf in 1959. His performances in 1960 earned Bald Eagle the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Older Male Horse.

Retired to stud at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky, Bald Eagle met with only modest success, siring a dozen graded stakes race winners. His daughter San San was purchased by Countess Margit Batthyany, owner of Haras du Bois-Roussel in Alençon, France and won the 1972 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Bald Eagle was trhe damsire of Capote, the 1986 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner and American Champion Two-Year-Old Colt.

In 1971, Bald Eagle was sent to new breeders in France and died there in 1977.
