pterosaur (flying reptile) from the Lower Santana formation of theAptian (Early Cretaceous ) of Chapada do Araripe, Ceará, Brazil. Thetype species , "B. araripensis", is named from part of a mandible. Other remains named as "Brasileodactylus" have not been assigned a species. It has been assigned to theOrnithocheiridae . It had long, thin, forward pointing teeth and may have had a short crest, like others of its family.The name means 'pterosaur (literally, " [wing] finger") from Brasil.'
