It is located at 16121 Michigan Avenue, and is served by the Wolverine. The station is a relatively contemporary structure of the late-20th Century with a waiting room and ticket offices during station hours. Quik-Trak ticketing kiosks are available at the station.
Of the 22 Michigan stations served by Amtrak, Dearborn was the third-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 220 passengers daily.[2]
On 19 August 2011, it was announced that the Federal Railroad Administration had released US$28.2 million in funds for the construction of a new intermodal station to replace the current building; the new facility would serve both intercity and commuter rail and include a connection to the Henry Ford Museum.[3]
