The Flemish Innovation Center for Graphic Communication (VIGC) is a Flemish non-profit organization, founded in 1997 and since 2000 located at the Campus Blairon in Turnhout. The VIGC is the knowledge center for the Flemish graphical arts industry.
History
The organization was founded in 1997 by Belcoat, Barco, Brepols, Carta Mundi, Group Joos, Proost, Van Genechten-Biermans, ACV, Febelgra, Fetra, Turnhout, and the VDAB. The European Union had given the region of Turnhout the status of an "EFRD" zone (European Fund for Regional Development), which made it possible to create the support organization for the graphical industry.
