European Athlete of the Year Trophy

The European Athlete of the Year Trophy is an annual prize handed out to athletes participating in track and field competitions. The election is organised by the European governing body for the sport of athletics, the European Athletic Association (EAA), since 1993.

The European Athletics Rising Star of the Year Award was inaugruated in 2007. This award is presented to recognise young, up-and-coming European talent.
