Southern Poverty Law Center listed the newspaper and its publisher/editor as a hate group for supposed "anti-semitic " and "homophobic " material, and hiring Sobran who was fired by the "National Review " for writing allegedly anti-semitic articles.Vennari responded to the SPLC's claims in early 2007, with an article called "The 7 Habits of Highly-Effective Hate Mongers," debunking the Center's research.
