Lyle MacWilliam

Lyle MacWilliam

Lyle Dean MacWilliam (born 31 July 1949 in Vancouver, British Columbia) was a member of the Canadian House of Commons from 1988 to 1993. His background included martial arts instruction, plus market research and its related education.

MacWilliam entered federal politics after winning the 1988 federal election at the Okanagan—Shuswap electoral district for the New Democratic Party. He served in the 34th Canadian Parliament but lost to Darrel Stinson of the Reform Party in the 1993 federal election.

He then joined the Liberal Party under which he campaigned at Okanagan—Shuswap in the 1997 federal election. He was again defeated by Stinson, placing second.
