Harvey Harman

Harvey Harman

Harvey J. Harman (November 5, 1900 to December 17, 1969) was a college football coach at Penn, and Rutgers. From 1931 to 1937, he coached at Penn, where he compiled a 31-23-2 record. From 1938 to 1955, he coached at Rutgers, where he compiled a 74-44-2 record. He played college football at Pittsburgh. He served in the Navy during World War II. His career record stands at 140-107-7. He was posthumously inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1981 as a coach primarily because of his success at Rutgers and status as a great representative of the game of college football.
