Tragumna

Tragumna

Tragumna (Tráig na Móna in Irish, meaning Strand or Beach of the Turf) is a small hamlet located about 5km from the town of Skibbereen in County Cork, Ireland.

There is a small safe beach at Tragumna with a tiny island located about 200 metres offshore. The beach at Tragumna has once again been awarded a Blue Flag for the year 2008.

A small lake (Lough Abisdealy) is nearby and is popular with birdwatchers. 3km away is the world famous Lough Hyne which is a designated Marine Nature Reserve.
