Gary Price (born
1965 ) is an Americanlibrarian , best known for foundingResourceShelf.com and originatingPrice's List of Lists , "a database of ranked listings of companies, people and resources freely available on the Internet", which is now maintained by others. Currently employed by the search engine [http://www.ask.com/ Ask.com] as Director of Online Information Resources. Price also started [http://www.docuticker.com DocuTicker] a daily updated of new full text reports and documents from government, non-government organizations, think tanks, and other organizations. He lives nearWashington, DC and grew up in theChicago suburbs where he attendedNew Trier High School Life and work
Price received a Bachelors of Arts degree from the
University of Kansas , and a Masters of library and information science from Wayne State University. He was for a time a reference librarian atGeorge Washington University . Price co-authored the book "The Invisible Web " (seeDeep Web ) withChris Sherman . He won theSpecial Libraries Association 's "Innovations in Technology Award" in 2002, and their [http://www.ibiblio.org/slanews/ News Division] 's "Agnes Henebry Roll of Honor Award" in 2004. He was also awarded the Alumni of the Year Award from Wayne State's Library and Information Program.References
