March 26 ,1969 inMuncie, Indiana ) is an American stunt performer/co-ordinator, actor and military advisor in thetelevision andmotion picture industries.His credits include acting roles in "
Spy Game ", "Band of Brothers ," and
"Rules of Engagement", stunt double forMax Martini in "The Unit " and military advisor forOliver Stone 's "Alexander".Biography
Farnsworth grew up in
Pinedale, Wyoming , the son of Win and Brenda Farnsworth. He joined theUnited States Marine Corps (USMC) in May 1985 and was stationed with1st Battalion 7th Marines (nicknamed "First Team") until July 1991, serving in bothDesert Shield andDesert Storm . He then went to Marine Combat Training atCamp Pendleton as a troop handler and a weapons and tactical instructor. In December 1994 he received an honorable discharge as a Sergeant.Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Farnsworth returned to
Casper, Wyoming and was working as a truck driver and in sales for Butane Power and Equipment Co. when in April 1996 he began work as a technical advisor on Starship Troopers and began his association withDale Dye 's company "Warriors Inc.", a military advisory service for filmmakers.He was also an
International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) bareback and saddlebronco , "Western" and "English" horseman, which led to his work on Rough Riders and "Alexander".In November 2004 Farnsworth was interviewed for "Live Wire," James Watson and Adela Munro's show on
Glamorgan University 's "GTfm" radio station.He now lives in
Los Angeles and is technical adviser and stuntman forRaliegh Wilson 's "Stunt Grunts Inc.", a community of stuntmen and stunt coordinators. His most recent work was acting in theWorld War II television drama mini-series "The Pacific", produced byHBO , which is currently in development.External links
