The station signed on in the 1950s as KPAC-FM. The station changed it's call sign to KHYS in 1977 with an album rock format. The format later changed to an urban contemporary format and was known as "Kiss 98.5". In 1999 the station changed it's call sign to KTJM and featured a
rhythmic oldies format. Later it switched from English to Spanish and assumed the current format.KJOJ-FM Station History
The station signed on as KGUL. It's call sign changed to KGLF-FM in 1985. In 1990 the station's call sign changed to KJOJ. In 1991 the call sign changed to it's current KJOJ-FM.
