TOPMAN is the stand alone fashion business counterpart of Topshop which caters exclusively for men’s clothing. Now part of the Arcadia Group that also owns Burton, Miss Selfridge, Wallis, Evans and Dorothy Perkins, Topman has a chain of high street men's clothing stores located throughout the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and has a presence on just about every UK High Street. Topman was created in the UK towards the end of the 1970s to provide a new approach to menswear retailing. Since its creation, Topman also has built an international presence, including concession outlets in boutique stores in both New York & Japan, and an entire floor at the ‘world’s largest fashion store’, in Oxford Circus, London.

Products

Many of the products on sale at Topman follow almost a light rock and roll theme or indieTopman's main product offerings are fashionable men's clothing, covering everything from men's formal suits to informal indie-rock influenced casual styling ranges, along with footwear and accessories. Topman also sells more unique clothing at the flagship London store in an area named 'Lens'. It's current offerings Dexter Wong Ltd, Fred Perry, Licentious, Siv Stoldal, Carolyn Massey, Material Boy, Mjolk and the popular 'Topman Design'.

Over recent years, Topman has collaborated with young designers such as Kim Jones, Markus Lupfer and Peter Jensen, as well as launching its own premium label ‘Topman Design’. After showing seasonally to the menswear press arena, Topman has now linked up with Fashion East to produce 'MAN', a menswear event which takes place on schedule at London fashion week, showcasing new menswear design as well as the Topman Design collection.

In 2008 Topman collaborates with new label The Look Presents, the brainchild of rock fashion author Paul Gorman and Soho boutique owner Max Karie.The Look Presents comprises three collections:

A range of t-shirts by the 70s label Wonder Workshop, worn by rock icons including Iggy Pop, Marc Bolan and Mick Jagger - launched June 2008.

A t-shirt collection by Nigel Waymouth, legendary founder of the iconic King's Road store Granny Takes a Trip - launches August 2008

Priceless, the new ready-to-wear capsule collection by Antony Price, designer for Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry and Duran Duran - launches October 2008

Awards

Topman was nominated for ‘Menswear Design of the Year’ by the British Fashion Council, winner of ‘Best Fashion Retailer’ at the Maxim Style Awards for 2005 and winner of ‘Best High Street Retailer’ at the FHM Fashion & Grooming awards 2007.

Topman caters for all budgets , all occasions and all styles regardless of age.
