Kiss 105 was launched - after the success of its sister station - onValentine's Day in 1997.A total of four transmitters were used to cover the whole of Yorkshire. North
Humberside was served by a frequency of 105.8 MHz,Sheffield by 105.6 MHz,Bradford by 105.6 MHz and Yorkshire in general by 105.1 MHz. The studios were based at Joseph's Well, Hanover Walk, Park Lane inLeeds ,West Yorkshire - those now used by Galaxy Yorkshire. MHz FM at a power of 9.6kW fromHigh Hunsley , which covers East Yorkshire andNorth Lincolnshire and on 105.1 MHz FM at a power of 2.4 kW fromEmley Moor , which coversWest Yorkshire . It also has two filler transmitters, both on 105.6 MHz FM, one from Idle at 0.5 kW which coversBradford and the other from Tapton Hill at 0.24 kW coveringSheffield .DAB broadcasts are on the MXR 12A Yorkshire region multiplex from nine transmitters, with the strongest signal from
