Laddio Bolocko was an instrumental avant-rock quartet originally formed in 1996 inspired by experimental rock groups such as This Heat & free jazz music ala Albert Ayler; they were based in New York City -- The band consisted of guitarist Drew St. Ivany, bassist Ben Armstrong also of noise music group Panicsville, Blake Fleming from the Dazzling Killmen and Marcus DeGrazia on horns.

The group received attention from well known critics willing to champion the band as an important development in the evolution of rock & roll yet managed to remain fairly well under the mainstream music radar. All three of their original releases were available in small pressings thus limiting their following to those willing to actively seek out these obscure recordings. The group toured internationally, even recording & releasing the E.P. "As If By Remote" in Europe only.

The group split in 2000, Armstrong and St. Ivany formed critically acclaimed band The Psychic Paramount, while Fleming and DeGrazia formed Electric Turn To Me.

No Quarter Records released the anthology of Laddio Bolocko in 2003, compiling all three original releases for the first time widely available to the listening public. They were even featured in a David Cross DVD entitled "Let America Laugh."
