Professor Sid (S A J) Bradley,
academic , author and specialist in Anglo-Saxon literature.In his best known publication, "Anglo-Saxon Poetry", Bradley has translated into modern English prose virtually the entire corpus of extant
Anglo-Saxon poetry .Bradley studied Anglo-Saxon at
University College, Oxford and since taught it atKing's College London then in theUniversity of York where he eventually became aProfessor of English and Related Literature. Since 1990 he has been a research and teaching associate of the Centre for Grundtvig Studies in the Theology Faculty of theUniversity of Aarhus , Denmark, and is currently an editor of the annual journal "Grundtvig-Studier". His publications have also touched onmedieval Danishhistoriography , Danishballads , Englishmedieval literature ,iconography and literature in the English post-Conquest period,archaeology , 17th-century Danish and Englishpolitical tracts, and English 18th-century bawdy songs.Publications
