Angoulême International Comics Festival Prize for Best Comic Book

Angoulême International Comics Festival Prize for Best Comic Book

This Prize for Best Comic Book is awarded to comics authors at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. As is the customary practice in Wikipedia for listing awards such as Oscar results, the winner of the award for that year is listed first, the others listed below are the nominees. The name of this award was originally the Alfred, after the pet penguin appearing in "Zig et Puce". In 1989, the name changed for Alph'art, remembering Hergé's uncompleted comic book, and in 2003, it finally changed for the formal current name.

From 1976 to 1978, the award was divided into four categories, foreign and French realistic and comical work, and from 1986 to 2001 it was again divided into two awards, French and foreign comic. These are included in this list.
