Frances M. Beal

Frances M. Beale is a Black feminist and political activist.

Frances M. Beale has spent her life writing and speaking about the issue of rights for Black women and Blacks as a whole. She was the National Secretary of the Black Radical Congress and a political writer for the "Bay View Newspaper". She is also a founding member of the Third World Women's Alliance (1968-1980). One of her most famous works was "". The article had a major impact on Black feminism and influenced generations of women of color.
