* Area of Polish territory - 322 575 km² (land area ,internal waters area andterritorial sea area)
* Administrative area of Poland - 312 679 km². This is calculated according to the official definition of the coastline. Some of Polishadministrative unit s include area of internal waters (8 communes invoivodeship zachodniopomorskie , 2 communes inPomerania Voivodeship and 3 communes inWarmia-Mazuria Voivodeship ). In Poland there are 2005 km² of internal waters, but only 791 km² of its are include to administrative units according to the coast line definition. That why administrative area of Poland isn’t the same as area of Poland. It should be noted that by the common convention 312 679 km² is called the (total) area of Poland in encyclopedias and other sources.
