engine=4.6 litre V8The Ford Giugiaro Mustang is a
Ford concept car that was designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro as a future car. The Giugiaro is a 2 door coupe. The car
Engine
Under the hood there is a 4.6 litre 3 valve V8 engine with an intercooled twin screw supercharger which puts out about 300 horsepower. The Giugiaro also has engine fuel injectors from a
Ford GT , a 95mm mass air filter and a conical air filter. For exhaust performance it has new Ford Racing mufflers with X-pipes. The powertrain upgrades the power to about 500 horsepower and it has a boost level of 11 psi. A Ford Racing aluminum radiator gives a quicker cooling capacity giving 200 more horsepower [http://www.autoclub.com.au/2006/11/ford-mustang-giugiaro-concept.html] .Chassis
The FR500C inspired tuning is done with a tailored Ford Racing handling pack which adds new tuned dampers, lowered springs and anti-sway bars. These changes give a sharper handling response. This car rides 1.5 inches lower than the Mustang GT.
Wheels
The Giugario has 20 inch rims fitted with 275/40 tyres on the front and 315/35 tyres on the back.
Design
The Giugiaro added 30mm to the front width gradually expanding the width by 80mm towards the rear. The car has a longer hood and a barely visible boot. The Giugiaro also has Bespoke tail lights (three separate elements) as found on a 1964 Mustang but reinterpreted into more of an arrow shape that links to the louver panels that replace the rear windows. There is a curls that sweeps towards the carbon fibre fenders hinting at the tail fins (defined cars of the 50s).
Interior
The interior has a instrument panel that sweeps the width of the car, circular gauges and dark brown horsehide covered headrests with the Mustang horse logo, which is also incorporated into the seat cushions and backrests.
