Basket Napoli is an Italian professional basketball club based in Naples.

Before the 1999/2000 season the team played in Serie A2, under the name "Serapide Pozzuoli"; ["Serapide" appears frequently in names of Pozzuoli's places and companies] later the team headquarters was moved to Naples by its owner Lubrano, who then sold the society to Mario Maione. In the 2000/2001 the league was promoted to Serie A. Basket Napoli took part in the ULEB Cup in 2004/2005 and won the Italian Cup in 2006.

In September 2008 Basket Napoli was excluded from Serie A championship due to financial problems, together with Orlandina Basket [it icon [http://195.56.77.208/news/?id=101847 Il Consiglio Federale revoca l'ammissione di Napoli e Capo d'Orlando alla Serie A] ] . After this decision, the team restarted to play in regional leagues.
