Liz Lloyd is the current
Deputy Chief of Staff (United Kingdom) for theTony Blair administration. She graduated fromClare College, Cambridge , in 1993 before becoming a researcher for Tony Blair when he was Shadow Home Secretary. She moved into the policy unit when he became leader of the Labour Party in 1994, with responsibility for Home Affairs policy. After Blair became Prime Minister in 1997, Lloyd was a key member of the Downing Street Policy Unit. She has held a number of key coordinating roles in Number 10, and is now Deputy Chief of Staff with responsibility for much of the domestic policy agenda. She is Tony Blair's longest serving employee. The current Chief of Staff is Jonathan Powell.One former partner is
