# "Fool's Overture ""Babaji" is the fifth track onSupertramp 's 1977 album "Even in the Quietest Moments ". Thesong was technically written byRoger Hodgson although it was credited to bothRick Davies and Hodgson, members of the bandSupertramp . The song tells of Hodgson's spiritual path that he was starting to take during the making of the "Even in the Quietest Moments" album. It was released as a single in 1977, but failed to chart both in the United States and the United Kingdom.Song Style
"Babaji" reflects both sides of the Supertramp spectrum of songs. The beginning and parts of the rest of the song follow the more thoughful paths of songs (like "Crime of the Century") whereas other parts reflect the more commercial side of Supertramp (such as "Dreamer"). Other songs on the same album, also reflect this attempted combination of styles. One clear example is that of From Now On, the next track on the album.
