Iran ianmusician ,composer and conductor. He is one of the first Iranian composers who has pioneeredPersian Symphonic Music .He was born in
Tehran in 1940. His first teachers wereLotfollah Mofakham Payan (Iranian music),Hossein Nasehi (Composition) andOphelia Kombajian (Piano). He then pursued his passion in music inVienna . His teachers in Vienna includeHanns Jelinek andKarl Schiske .After completing his studies at the
University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna , he went to Utrecht,the Netherlands , to pursue his study of electronic and computer music, which included attending lectures byGottfried Michael König .In 1993 with cooperation of the pianist
Farima Ghavam-Sadri , Mashayekhi founded Tehran Contemporary Music Group and in 1995 established "Iranian Orchestra for New Music ". This orchestra alongside many concerts in Tehran, produced its first CD in 2002 which was released byHermes Records .External links
