It was founded in 1983, and owns its own facility, which includes a 280-occupancy chapel and tennis courts, on 5 acres (20,000 m2) of land.[1] The school is orthodox Catholic in curriculum and administration.[2] It is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino.
OLAD has 56 students and 7 teachers, with 6 additional administration and support staff.[3] This gives it a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio;[4] the California average is 16.[5] The Principal is Susan Twaddle.[2]
It describes its primary purpose as saving souls with education as a means to that end.[1]
There is also a 15-bed assisted living facility located on campus.
