Jacqueline de la Roche was the last heiress of the
De la Roche family which had ruled theDuchy of Athens from1204 to1308 . She was the daughter and heiress ofRainald de la Roche . She was the baroness ofVeligosti andDamala in her own right from that latter date to1327 , when she marriedMartino Zaccaria ,Lord of Chios , as his second wife.When Martino was captured and carted off to
Constantinople byAndronicus III Palaeologus in1330 , Jacqueline was allowed to go free with her children "and all they could carry." [Miller, 50.] She may have been the mother of Bartolommeo,Margrave of Bodonitsa , and was probably the mother of Centurione I,Lord of Arcadia .Notes
