Port Credit, Ontario , he was educated at theRoyal Military College of Canada in 1929 and atOsgoode Hall Law School .Career

World War II , he was a pilot and Wing Commander with theRoyal Canadian Air Force in the United Kingdom and France. After the war, he was a named partner in the in the law firm of Campbell, Godfrey and Lewtas (nowFasken Martineau DuMoulin ). He was afundraiser for theLiberal Party of Canada .In 1973, he was appointed to the
Senate of Canada representing the senatorial division ofRosedale, Ontario . A Liberal, he retired on his 75th birthday in 1987.Family
