Aleksandar Panayotov Aleksandrov ( _bg. Александър Панайотов Александров) (born December 1, 1951, Omurtag, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian cosmonaut.

Aleksandrov graduated from Airforce Academy (with a doctorate degree) and reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He worked as Deputy Director, Institute of Space Research and the Academy of Science, Bulgaria.

He was selected as a cosmonaut on March 1, 1978. Aleksandrov was selected as backup for Soyuz 33 and flew as Research Cosmonaut on Soyuz TM-5 which launched on June 7, 1988 and landed (aboard Soyuz TM-4) on June 17, 1988. He immediately retired from the cosmonaut corps. Currently he works as a research scientist.

He is married and has one child.
