New England Immigrant Aid Society

New England Immigrant Aid Society

In 1854 leading up to "Bleeding Kansas" the New England Immigrant Aid Society was created to pay antislave settlers to go into Kansas, so when the state voted on whether or not to allow slavery the vote would be on the antislave side. However they were only able to get a handful of settlers into the area.
