Stochov (IPA2|ˈstoxof; _de. Stochau) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic. It is located 11 km west of Kladno and has a population of 5,397 (2005). Stochov, first time mentioned in 1316, used to be a small village until second half of 20th century. This changed in 1950s and 1960s when a large housing estate was built up west of Stochov in order to accommodate increasing number of workers for coal mines in Kladno area. Subsequently Stochov gained town status in 1967.

According to legend Saint Wenceslas was born in Stochov and his grandmother Saint Ludmila then planted an oak to conmemorate this event. The aged and half withered oak tree, estimated to be about 1 000 years old and called Saint Wenceslas' Oak ("Svatováclavský dub"), is the main sight of the town.
